An introductory course to Creative Writing with hands-on activities that aim to learn some techniques to unlock writing and overcome the fear of the blank page.

 

Throughout the sessions we explore some possible ways to move from ideas to writing. With diverse stimulating simple or more complex exercises, we go from words and ideas to more structured texts, with the aim of creating short stories and unlocking creativity.

Course program/objectives:

• Unlock creativity: playful writing, automatic writing and fast-paced writing;

• Sensory universes: using the five senses to enrich writing;

• The life of objects: build stories from objects;

• Places and spaces for writing, as scenery or story source;

• Character creation;

• Narrative structure: writing stories with beginning, middle and end.
